Atelier

India’s textile heritage is among the oldest in the world. For the bride, this is the beauty of her culture.

For centuries, dress has served as a language of artistry and storytelling. Many Indian garments are handwoven and hand-embroidered, taking months, sometimes years, to complete. Each carries a legacy of fine craftsmanship, threads dyed in natural pigments, woven on looms used for generations.

Traditional Indian attire is requested, though European formal wear is equally appropriate. We simply ask that your wardrobe reflect the formality of the celebrations: elevated details and a sense of occasion.

In addition to the wedding ceremony, celebrations will unfold across three events over the weekend. Details on each occasion, including attire, will follow with the formal invitation. For those who wish to plan ahead, a note offering context on Indian clothing may be shared upon request. Please contact our wedding concierge.

If you wish to wear sneakers or jeans, the mother of the bride will personally escort you off the estate.
